Williamsburg

We drove up to Williamsburg one of the days my mom was here and it was just incredible. They had a historic downtown where everyone was dressed in period costumes and it looks just the way it did back in the 1800's. So neat.

We walked across a bridge and followed a trail to get to the historic downtown. Along the way were these little plaques, describing what you no longer have as of that point in time. Like, no more TV, or your newspaper contained week old news. Stuff like that.

Being the incredible parent that I am, I forgot to put sunscreen on Evie or bring her a hat, so I bought her a bonnet in one of the stores. How cute is she?

cheese shop. Is this cool or what?

On our way back home, I snapped a few shots of the ships out on the water.

Outer Banks

On Tuesday, we went to the Outer Banks, North Carolina. In case you have no idea where that is, here is a map. You're welcome.

We went to Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, and Kitty Hawk. There's just a massive highway that runs down the whole island chain.

we ate lunch at this super cute BBQ place on the beach. Yummy.

So, Evelyn absolutely hated the beach. She was terrified the whole time. Hopefully she'll get over that once we go a lot this summer. Silly girl. It was a really fun day.
