White Coat

Whoops, I'm sorry folks. I know I said that I would update how everything went and the ceremony, and I totally plan on doing that. I took a lot of pictures, so plan on that as well. Exciting.

But, until then, just know that the ceremony was great and Dan didn't get stuck in his coat at all when they were putting it on him. Laugh if you like, but there were several people who did it wrong. When those people come along, you have to think who their mother was and how they learned to get dressed. I am embarrassed to admit that I did cry a little because I was so proud of him, and it didn't help that Dan told me I (and Heavenly Father) was the reason he was up there. Cute. All in all, we were all so proud of him. My parents drove up for the day to come as well and then we all went out to dinner. I think Dan's parents had a really good time while they were here, and I know that we did. Dan was so excited to show them where he lives and where he spends his time, so that was really great. All four of us got along great in our small apartment! There was no fighting over the bathroom or the cereal, so thumbs up. Seriously, it was great and we all had such a great time. I will put pictures up soon.

I graduate in a few weeks. Just thought that I would throw that out there. ;)

This Week...

- I have been cleaning like a mad person getting ready for my father and mother-in-law
- I have become so far behind in my reading for school that I honestly don't see a way out
- I have become OBSESSED with Bones
- I have been so tired it's ridiculous

Dan's parents are getting here today and staying until Sunday. Dan's white coat ceremony is tomorrow and we're all really excited about it. It's a huge deal because this is the part of vet school that he's been working toward this whole time. Once they give him his white coat with his embroidered name (Dr. Daniel Christensen) he'll technically be a real veterinarian! Sweet right? I think it's going to look sexy....yeah. Next year he will be doing only rotations. No more classes and no more tests. Dan will have to strictly be a vet and apply all the things he has learned in all kinds of different situations. So, we are all extremely excited and immensely proud of him. I might actually cry. Anyways, this weekend promises to be exciting and awesome and I will take pictures and update you all later! loves!

Weight Lifting

Last week Dan had two major test and I had a MONSTER paper and a test. It was awful. So, after school on Friday it really felt like this million pound weight had been lifted off of both our shoulders and our marriage. It's amazing how much better your marriage is when you're both not totally stressed out all the time. Wow.

I couldn't be more excited to graduate. I just want to be done! And, the closer I get to graduation the more I lose my motivation. It's terrible, I know. Today I picked up my graduation announcement, cap, and gown that I ordered and then I got even more excited. Although, at the same time, I'm a little nervous. I mean, what am I going to do now that I don't have to go to school? I've been going to school my whole life, so that's a little daunting. Any advice? What should I do next? I would like to get a job in my field, but that's pretty hard to find in Manhattan, KS unfortunately. Any job ideas?

Other than that, we're doing just fine. Dan's white coat ceremony is in two weeks and his parents will be coming down and staying with us for that. We couldn't be more excited. The other night we were talking about where we might end up after Dan finishes school and I got super scared. The Army could send us anywhere! Yikes! I've never lived farther than 2 hours from my parents, and I am completely petrified. Luckily, that won't be for a while yet.

This last weekend we went down to my parent's house for conference and Easter. It was so much fun. I love conference weekend because it's so spiritually uplifting. It really gives me a boost every time to do better and be better. Jill and Elijah were also there over the weekend so that was a blast. Jill and I got to have some quality girl time and Elijah got to play with his best friend "Unca Dan". Cute. So, Happy Easter everyone. I hope your weekend was as great as mine.
