Today, I put the kids in their Easter clothes again so I could get some pictures of them and say it was from Easter. Unfortunately, they wouldn't cooperate enough to get a picture of them both together, so this will have to do.

Dan and I went on a date tonight and had a delicious dinner. Without kids. It was fantastic. The picture is of our ice cream nachos after we devoured them. Yum. The next picture is of a tree outside our apartment building that I thought was super pretty.

Daddy is home!!

Also, my kids wore matching shirts today, so that was pretty cute.

Making some progress with swimming. No one was touching me and no one was crying! Yay!

So today we went swimming at the indoor pool. The kids were, surprisingly, not huge fans of swimming. Given how much they love being in water at bath time, I really thought they would, but oh well. Hopefully, if we keep going, they will learn to like it more.

This is how Emmett handled nap time today

Emmett and edin chillen in the pool. Evie was hanging out on the stairs, not moving an inch.

This is how Emmett really felt about the whole experience

We had a really great Easter, but unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures of it. The kids hunted for their baskets and eggs this morning, and then we went to church, which was fun. Our kids were a bit terrible because they woke up too early and had too much sugar, but it's always nice to talk about the savior. After their naps, we went over to our friends, the kahns, and had dinner with their family and Schylene. So much fun!

This was the only picture I got of evie in her Easter dress. Fail.

The aftermath of Easter

Just remembered that I did, indeed, take a few pictures of them hunting for Easter eggs this morning! Yay me,

she found it!

Today was a big day for us. In the morning, we went to the Evergreen club on camp walker and did their Eggstravaganza activity. Evie got to do an Easter egg hunt, and there were bubbles and crafts, and the Easter bunny paid a visit. Unfortunately, there weren't enough eggs for all the kids, so Evie only ended up with 3, I think, and it was super cold, but overall, I think she had fun.

bubbles!

This was actually the best out of the ones I took. Yikes.

Emmett got a haircut today! We used Dan's clippers and buzzed his whole head. What a handsome fella.

 before and after

Before dinner, we dyed Easter eggs, which was a whole lot of fun. Evie couldn't get enough of it, and was pretty sad when they were all done. But, I think she did a pretty good job!

Today was fun because we went to play group. Afterwards, we went to lunch at Burger King. The kids had SO much fun doing both, and evie got to make bunny ears for Easter.

This is evie with her BFF, max.

Taken with my iPhone. I was trying to capture just how many dandelions were flying around at the park today, but it doesn't show up on my camera. It looked like it was snowing!

Today was so fun! My friend, Schy, invited us to come with them to spa valley, and spa valley is seriously cool. It has floors of water related things. Evie loved everything, and Emmett hated everything, so that was kind of rough because I would have loved to swim around with evie and play with her, but I had to hold a clinging Emmett the whole time. That's okay. I love love love baby cuddles, even if it's only because he thinks he's going to die. Schy took some cute pictures with her waterproof camera, and then I edited them a little. That still counts as me taking a picture, right?

When you first walk in, there's this fountain where you can stick your feet in, and little fishes eat away the dead skin. True story. It was a little shocking at first, but super fun. Evie actually really enjoyed it. She could t wait for the fish to come to her feet, but they didn't really unless no one else was available, cause she has baby smooth skin still.

This is what happened the second we got into the water. They both clung to me like their lives depended on it, but Emmett legitimately believed that and evie was super excited.

She seriously had soooo much fun!!! Spa valley is so cool. We should go. Come visit me.

Emmett and his bestie, edin.

In other news, Emmett is now sitting at the big kid table and eating the same food as evie Lou. And he could not be more excited about it.

I did take this picture. Wham! Nailed it.
