Man, I'm bored

Because Dan works on base and it's a 20 min drive (with no traffic) he has the car all day long. Which means that I am stuck at home. All. Day. Long. Last week I didn't leave the house for 4 days straight. I'm seriously going stir crazy. I would take Evie out for a walk, but it's been record high temperatures here this week and feels like walking into a sauna every time I go outside. No thank you. Today I did some online shopping and bought some new jeans and some new shirts. Ever since the babe was born I haven't really felt myself and I still can't wear most of my pre-pregnancy clothes. It is incredibly depressing. So, I thought I kind of deserved it since, you know, I gave birth to a baby and all. Dan won't mind. I hope. I plan on working out everyday, but then the day starts and before I know it it's over and I still haven't worked out at all. Where did the day go? Hopefully Evie and I can find something interesting to do today besides watching Netflix. Any suggestions?

  1. Since it's been super hot, and Bre has been waking up around 7 am, I go out early and walk. It's only about 75 or 80 depending on the day. Otherwise, you could do yoga/pilates inside. Or buy some jazzercise tapes haha! But definitely for me going out and walking helped the stir crazy. I was in that same situation. No car for me...lol Being productive helped too. i.e. dishes, laundry, vacuum, dusting, organizing...etc. Whenever you have both your hands, that is lol. Music helps me too.

  2. Hobbies, books on CD, gardening, walks. Go out as a family in the evenings to do some exploring so you don't feel house-bound. Or you could always steal a second car. :D

  3. I can definitely relate to that. We're still that way when Nate goes off to work. I found a park that was close by and would leave almost the same time Nate did so it was still pretty cool. Do you have a yard because even just going outside can make such a huge difference. Lately we have built tents in the front room, Evie is probably a little young for that.

  4. I know how you feel. It's nasty hot and humid here too, when it's not raining. Gideon LOVES going out in his stroller though, so most of the time I'm the only one who is miserable. I can't wait until Fall comes!

You'll get back down to your pre-pregnancy size eventually, and the world will be right again. Meanwhile, enjoy you're new clothes!
