Great Weekend

This weekend:
  • Dan graduated from Vet School! These four years have been really tough on us both, but especially on him, so we're ecstatic that he's done.
  • Dan's parents came into town
  • as did mine, for graduation
  • we all went out to dinner
  • Evie got a lot of attention. There were days when I barely got to hold her at all, and I missed her
  • Our little Evelyn Louisa was blessed by her daddy and both grandpas
  • And, Dan and I got to go on a date, without the squidge.

Dr, Daniel Christensen

Evie right before her blessing. She's wearing the same dress I wore for my blessing. Pretty special.

Pretty amazing.

However, Dan left today for San Antonio and Evie and I won't see him for 5 weeks. :(
We are really going to miss him. Mostly me, but I'm sure she will too.

  1. Britany, keep your hair long! You're gorgeous! :)
I'm so happy for Dan and the baby!
Oh and I totally get it about Dan leaving for 5 weeks. :( Not fun isn't it? Just keep your chin up and know that SOON you'll have him back! It's better than a year. ;)

  2. Evie is so cute! Congrats again to Dan on his accomplishment. Dan leaving for 5 weeks isn't a very nice welcome to army life. John will be gone for 2 months this summer, but I only have me to take care of. Just keep your head up and know you have all sorts of support systems :)

  3. You are a great mom. One of the great blessings of being at this stage in my life is that I get to see my children and their spouses be great parents.
