This is what happens...

When your alarm that you set on your phone doesn't go off:

You wake up late and panic

Don't get to shower cause you have to rush

Miss your flight to SLC for your brother-in-law's wedding

And are tired and exhausted the whole rest of the day.

We missed Mike's sealing, but only just barely. From sprinting across Temple Square, we were able to make it into some of the pictures. No promises on how good we look in those. Gross. But, other than that, our trip to Utah was a lot of fun. We got to spend some quality time with Dan's family and eat lunch with my Grandparents. All in all a really good vacation. It was just that one day, really, that wasn't so great. Chantale looked beautiful and they both looked so happy, so that's all that really matters. I have another sister! I think that makes 6 now. Wow.

Another side effect: No time for contacts. Lol. Isn't he handsome? I love him.

The one blog to rule them all

Hey fellow bloggers and bloggees.  I'm blogging like I never blogged before.  I think I've studied so much my brain cells are actually undergoing autolysis.  Our new garden is doing pretty well, but one of the tomatoe plants might not make it.  I can't afford advanced medical care for the little guy since the municipal court of Haysville decided they needed 400 dollars of my money to purchase antidepressants for their secretaries.  Our soccer team won the kansas state intramural indoor soccer tournament, and I can't seem to get Manchester United to stop calling me with lucrative contract offers.  Seriously.  Plus, I seem to have lost the skill to fold my laundry so I move the pile everyday from the coach to the bed to the chair to the coach again.  Its the laundry migration of shame, but I can't muster enough OCD power to change it.  That's all I got for now.

Attention!!

Apparently my comment thing hasn't been working. Sad times. So, hopefully I fixed it.

Here's what's been going on:

We went down to Wichita this weekend for my mom's birthday, and that was a lot of fun. We saw Wolverine which was sooo awesome! Plus, we were able to take my mom to Red Lobster for her birthday, she really loves Red Lobster. I kind of love my family.

It's been raining for like a week straight here, which is miserable if you have a swamp for a car. BUT! We finally bought a car cover the beginning of this week, so it hasn't gotten any wetter, it just hasn't gotten dryer either. I think it's supposed to be sunny today though, so maybe now it'll dry out. We affectionately now call my car swamp thing. :)

This week is "dead week" and next week is finals!! Almost done!

A glimpse into our lives

-Made super burritos for dinner together. They were delicious

-We were in school all day

-Finally doing our laundry, 4-5 loads?

-Made s'mores over our gas stove. Lovely

-Studying like crazy on the couch together

-Take 10 minute study snuggle breaks

-Sniffly still, but getting better

-Would really love to go to bed early, but can't

-Rained all day, so our car is a swamp

-People upstairs sound like elephants

Loving every minute of it.

K-State

Okay, this University could not make me any more mad. Seriously? On Tuesday I went with Dan to the Rec to watch his soccer game. No biggie, we do this EVERY WEEK. So when I get up to the front and they swipe my student ID card that I have had for 3 years, there shouldn't be a problem. right? wrong. Apparently it wasn't working so they sent me to the office. The lady in the office told me that this same ID that i've had my whole college career isn't valid and the numbers don't match, blah blah blah, and have I gotten a new one recently? No, I haven't in case you were wondering. Long story short, I was really upset, she took my card, I stomped back out to the entrance to the Rec where I, not so politely, ask the girl if I could just go in and watch my husband's soccer game. She let me. Some people aren't incompetent. Today I went into the ID center to figure it out and guess who was right? ME!! That lady owes me an ID card.

My professor in Shakespeare sometimes shows films of the plays that we are reading in order to give extra credit. Today he was showing Othello at 4:30, so i'm thinking awesome! extra credit! Apparently the film is rated R, so I emailed him to ask him if there was some alternative thing I could do or if he would be showing any other movies because I don't watch rated R movies, and instead of being understanding and sympathetic he was mean and totally degraded me. What the heck? He told me that it's a college level course so he can't guarantee the rating, and by the way, many students had seen this film and the sexual content was really mild for an R movie. What? I don't care if it's mild for an R movie! It's still in there! ya jerk. Wow, so now I'm done venting. Sorry about that.

Dan and I are both doing well. He has a test tomorrow, so he's cramming right now. I hope we get to actually eat something for dinner. This should be interesting, we haven't been grocery shopping. lol. Other than that, things are pretty dull. EXCEPT! OMG! I forgot! We got our beautiful dark wood dinner table today! Yay!!! One thing at a time.

Wow, that was weird

I was walking back to our apartment yesterday when I passed a man taking his snake on a walk. No, I'm not making this up. He was just walking around having a great time with this giant snake draped over his shoulders. So, as I am about to pass this guy, trying to give somewhat of a wide birth cause I don't know the striking range of a snake, I find myself wondering how I can become that confident. I mean, he's walking a snake. He obviously knows who he is and is totally okay with it and does not care at all about what other people think. Anyways, that was weird. Thought I would share.
